Left Foot Braking Enabled
Ideal for trackdays or rallying but also useful on the road.
Usually when you apply you foot on the brake pedal, the ECU automatically cuts the engine power for a second or two, this can be be very intrusive but you probably haven’t noticed this, you’ve just thought your car was a bit flat or unresponsive sometimes, this isn’t the case!
We have overcome this by tweaking the map a little further, enabling left foot braking on most VW, Audi, Seat & Skoda petrol vehicles. This is especially useful for trackdays but also for Auto and DSG cars where this can be very intrusive, where the driver wants to reduce time spent between the right foot moving between brake and throttle pedals. Left foot braking is equally useful for:
Reducing understeer into a corner and reducing the drive loss through spinning wheels
Note: Left foot braking is not actually an advanced technique once you are familiar with it and if you have an Automatic or DSG gearbox you probably do it already, you’ll probably press the pedal too far on your first few attempts but once your mind reprogram’s itself you will enjoy the benefits and see the benefits.
